Our Hosting Solutions offer businesses a range of services that will help to guarantee the security and integrity of their mission-critical data. Our multiple tier-3 and ISO 27001 accredited data centres are unique in their locations and the facilities they can offer.

 
   

We know how important it is that customers' equipment and servers remain fully operational at all times, so we employ highly trained engineers to provide on-site 'Intelligent Hands'.

This means that one of our engineers will act as a customer's supervised hands to perform equipment fixes or troubleshooting. They are available 24/7 and every customer is entitled to a minimum of 5 mins 'Intelligent Hands' every day. Should you require the use of this valuable service longer than your daily entitlement we will make a nominal charge.

Intelligent Hands Key Features:

Our 'Intelligent Hands' engineers can provide a wide range of support services. These include:

  • Pushing a button, toggling a switch or setting a dip-switch.
  • Rebooting or power cycling equipment.
  • Securing cabling to connections.
  • Observing, describing or reporting on indicator lights or display information on machines or consoles.
  • Modifying basic cable layout.
  • Cable patching.
  • Checking alarms for faults.
  • Changing faulty plug-in cards and hard drives.
  • Any configuration or installation works as long as the customer is able to provide either full verbal or written step-by-step instructions.
  • Perform basic customer-led faultfinding on customer equipment.
  • Installation of power bars into customer racks.

Changing Back-up Tapes

We can provide a backup tape changeover service. In order to carry out this service we require a procedure to be provided by the customer along with sufficient backup tapes. If sufficient backup tapes are not provided, this service cannot be guaranteed.

Cable Running

If requested by customers we can lay and terminate either low smoke zero halogen category 5 Ethernet cable or standard 2002 BNC terminated coaxial cable. Requests must be by telephone, fax or e-mail with 48 hours notice. If one end of the cable run must enter or terminate within an area other than that leased by the customer, then the customer will need to contact the third party to request authorisation for access to their space.
